how to use lemon juice for acne?

so i read a lot of reviews online that putting lemon juice on your face could help with acne/scars and make your skin look better. so i decided to try it. well i bought lemons, but im not exactly sure how to use it. so does anyone know how to use it effectively?

don't tell me that this doesn't work and to try some other kind of acne treatment, cause i've tried everything and nothing has worked.
obviously i haven't tried EVERYTHING, but close to it. i've tried proactive, clinique, birth control, neutrogena, stridex pads, isolaz lazer treatments, chemical peels, retin-a, and many other creams and pills from my dermatologist..

  1. A disturbing part of the effect of acne is the scar it leaves behind. Our skins can be very humble following the redness and marks as a result of previous acne outbreak. Let me share with you how you can use lemon juice to cure your acne and the scar associated with it. This method can really help speed up the healing process.

Lemon juice is specie of citric acid. The acid contained in the lemon helps slough off dead skin cells while helping new ones to grow. It also helps to remove excess oil and kill bacteria that cause acne.

    Application:

Wash your face with warm water or preferably steam clean your face by putting it over a pail of hot water with a towel over your head to prevent the steam from escaping. This will help open up the pores.
Apply the lemon juice with a cotton ball gently (dilute with water if it burns). This will help remove the dirt and oil that have clogged on the skin. Repeat this twice. You may leave it overnight but if you find it too strong for your skin, wash it off after 30 minutes in cold water.
It is advisable you use the method every two days interval until you achieve a desirable result.
Alternatively, you may drink the lemon juice, which works very well for internal cleansing and detoxification of the liver. Squeeze one lemon into glass or bottle and dilute with water. One glass cup before going to bed will do.

A combination of the two methods will attack acne inside out and give you a good look skin free of acne.

  2. lemon juice works?????>?>>>>>>>>>>>????

  3. try skin id on tv or keep using oil of olay as ur face wash mornin and night then try ponds dry skin cream.

  4. I just roll the lemon to get it juicy .. cut it open and squeeze in a dish. Get a cotton swab and dip it and rub on my face. If it burns try diluting it with a little water. Leave it on over night and rinse it in the morning. If you think its to strong just rinse it after about 10 minutes of being on your face.

  5. Juice the lemons in to a glass container. Pour small amount out in dish and refrigerate the rest. Use a Q-tip and dip into the juice and apply to the acne and scars.

  6. I tryed that years ago. doesnt do anything. but wen life hands u lemons and the wrong advice, make lemonade!!

sry i had u tell u doesn’t work. i’ve done many experiments with it. I’m currently using this new clearasil product called ‘Ultra Rapid Action Treatment Cream’ It clears blemishes in 4 hours. I LOVE it and im not jus saying that either! Yesterday, i had a REALLY bad breakout, and it was so noticable!! the nex few hours i went 2 check on my face, AND IT WORKED!!!! I’m actually happy 2 say that!!! I can’t wait wen it all clears up!!!

ANYWAY, give up lemons and avocados, and buy the cream.

  7. Make sure the surface which you’re applying it to has been cleaned. Squeeze 1 teaspoon of lemon juice into a small bowl and use a cotton ball to soak up the juice. If it burns when you apply it, run cool water into the bowl to dilute it. Dab the juice anywhere you have blemishes you want removed. Leave it on over night and rinse it off in the morning. Apply more under your makeup. If you feel it’s too strong to leave on, even with it diluted, wash it off with cold water after 10 minutes. Hope it helped.

  8. Well. I don’t know about lemon and acne, but I must warn you about puttin lemon on the skin and go out and take some sun. When the lemon juice (or lemon components) are applied on the skin and the sun hits you, what you are gonna get is a spotted skin… and it is permanent. So be sure to clean up your skin, just in case…

Good luck with the acne issue.

  9. OK listen to me……..lemon juice can dry your face out severly if you’re not careful. It works like and astringent to close pores and to lighten freckles. however, it does NOT get rid of scars. sorry but that’s bullshit and whoever told you that is a liar. lemon juice may lighten your scar cuz that’s what it is supposed to do, but that depends on the scar. BIo-oil works awesome for scars and you should try that. I used that on my C-SECTION scar and my scar has completely diminished after having two kids. If you’re gonna use the lemons no matter what, then cut the lemon into wedges of four, than apply directly to scar(s) tissue and rub in circular motion. do not rinse off. do this everyday adn youwill see it isn’t very effective. good luck. By the way have you really tried everything?? Try dickinson’s witch hazel as an astringent and you won’t get acne anymore. it removes residue from your face and closes your pores. You have NOT tried everything obviously. do you exfoliate your face so the dead skin is shed off and your face can heal?

  10. Get some lemons, cut them up and squeeze the juice out into a cup. Wash your face before applying the juice. Dip a cotton ball (don’t drown it) into the juice and rub some onto your acne scars. Some people have seen results in as little as a week or two but it might take a few months for older scars. When you’re done, put some aluminum foil on the cup and put the leftover lemon juice in the refrigerator.

Lemon juice is acidic so it will "burn" off your acne scars. It does not bleach your skin. It will hurt and itch like crazy for the first few minutes you apply it. Be prepared for some pain. This is not for sensitive skin. Wash the lemon juice off before going outside.
