How should I get rid of my acne?
I have this really, really annoying acne problem that kicked into high gear towards the beginning of this year. Started out with maybe a few on the forehead that I could easily ignore, but now they're proliferating in great numbers on my face.
I've tried Aveeno and Neutrogena; Aveeno was total crap for me, and Neutrogena worked in the beginning but now doesn't seem like it's doing anything. Zits are still pretty much the same as they were a week or two ago, and more are sprouting.
I'm desperate so any sort of acne treatment product recommendation is greatly appreciated!

Try Acnezine! It’s worked great for me. Got rid of acne. It apparently keeps your skin healthy because I have not had any outbreaks anymore and my skin is quite smooth now.

I know this sound wiered but tooth paste. I have the worst acne but i did that it is all gone.All you do is put toothpaste on the acne and leave it there for abouthalf an hour. Good luck=]

well, if i were u i would try that tooth paste which the first one advised. if that doesn’t help u have the only option – go to doctor. my elder son is having acne problem, we have been treating it for many years. the problem with acne – it is an infection, u can not kill it completely with creams, it will come again and again. first they prescribe tetracycline antibiotics for half a year plus prescription cream. if that doesn’t work they might put u on this extreme amount of vitamin A drug (sorry i do not remember how it is called), but this causes high cholesterol which u have to check every 2 weeks and depression. it dries them (acne). if u have loaded parents u may try lazer treatment – each time u have a new zit u go there and they zap it. sooner or later they will zap them all. but this is extremely expensive. for my son solarium (not average solarium, they have special solariums at the clinic) plus cream called epiduo helped. and they disappear by itself in summer, when there is a lot of sun.
for my other son who doesn’t have severe acne problem but just has zits here and there aloe vera 95% gel works very well. good luck. those products from super markets re complete bull sh’it
ps. i suggest u do not waste money on pro active, as i told u (as our dermatologist told us) acne is inner infection. with creams u may only calm it down. u kill it with drugs. yes, this girl told u the correct name of the vitamin a drug – retin A

I was the same way. I never really had acne until this year. It is such an annoying reoccuring problem. I got it so bad that I am now starting to scar. I tried basically EVERYTHING OTC such as Neutrogena, Biore, Acne Free, Acne Control Kit from Clean and Clear, and even Pro Activ. I even did home remedies such as egg whites, honey, toothpaste and baking soda. I can honestly say that Pro Activ worked for me, but after using it for about four months, my skin got immune to it and it just stopped working. I went to the dermatologist a few days ago and I got a prescription for Retin A Micro. It is supposed to REALLY work as long as you stick to it. I haven’t started using it yet but I will tonight. I also started using this cleanser about two days ago. It is called Glycolix 5-2 Gly Sal. So far I think it has been improving my skin, even though it has only been two days. It takes the oil from your skin so new pimples don’t form. I suggest you try Pro Activ, but it may stop working after a while. If your acne still won’t go away, go see a local Dermatologist and they can prescribe you something to treat your acne and clear your face up. (: Good luck!
