Its probably hormones not as much as you being dirty. My cousin had really bad acne on his face and used Proactive and he doesnt have a pimple one. It is somthing to look into.

Well, I’m going to just share my 2 cents…Body acne is very difficult to get rid of. The skin on your back and chest is different from that on your face, and it would take a lot of work to apply a topical to your entire back and chest every day. Antibiotics don’t work in the long term. Changing my diet never worked for me. So, you have two options.
A) Wait and see if you grow out of it. (you might not..I havent, yet. 20 years old)
B) Accutane
A lot of people on here will cry and whine about accutane side effects, but they’re not bad, if present at all. Dry lips maybe. Use a moisturizer. It’s pretty much the best bet you have. Topicals, antibiotics, holistics, apple cider vinegar, benzoyl peroxide, salycylic acid, AHAs, aloe vera, retinoids, doing nothing, washing more, washing less….none of that worked for me. So yeah.
Do you get any cysts on your back. If so, you could tell your dermatologist that they make it painful to sit against things or something, and they might prescribe you accutane. They’ll probably make you go through a whole box of other prescriptions that won’t work, though.
Anyway, good luck.

Sounds rough. There are different solutions. There is of course the Proactive method. Personally, I know of a lot of people still struggling with acne after using proactive. There is also the homeopathy route. One of the questions I would ask is, "What is making the outbreak so bad?" "Is there anything that makes it worse?" Is there anything that makes it better?" " Do I have oily skin? (if yes, try a good stringent or toothpaste, as gross as that sounds.Try anything to dry it out." I like to use a product that has had really positive results and the testimonies are pretty impressive. If your interested you can find the link in my bio. Hope this helps
