how do you get rid of annoying chest acne?
it's super weird. i used to have acne only on my face, but thanks to acne products and a change in my diet, it's clear. but it seems as if the acne from my face vanished and reappeared on my upper chest [figuratvely speaking, of course]. and the strange thing is, it's only on my chest. no where else on my body. it started around mid '08.
i've tried using my acne facial products on my chest, using only facial moistourizer on my chest [instead of regular lotion filled with oils that can clog my pores], wiping it with baby wipes, using regular anti-bacterial soap, and using acne body scrub with a mesh cloth. NOTHING IS WORKING.
they look like little red bumps, but i'm assuming it's acne....or a rash that's taking a REALLY long time to go away. which is doubt it is.
i can't even wear low-cut shirts and bathing suits anymore without feeling uncomfortable. i really need advice for what to do. :[
also, is it better to use an acne body wash, or an acne body scrub?
i tried using toothpaste too! and it didn't work. :[

The best way to get rid of chest acne is to use an acne treatment product that is only designed for body acne (back acne, chest acne, arm acne..etc). I am sorry to say that most acne products available only focus or treat facial acne…they don’t even talk about body acne.
Your diet too is important. Eat plenty of vitamins and drink enough water. Always use lukewarm water when taking a shower because it doesn’t dry your skin. Hot water dehydrates the skin and cold water drys it out.
Use gentle soaps when taking a shower too.
avoid oil stuff and it is recommended that you see a dermatologist.

Body scrub. A wash doesn’t exfoliate.
I used St. Ives medicated scrub while I was in middle school and my back & chest acne disappeared. It’s a great scrub. You can use a loofah too. I haven’t used this scrub in 5 years or so. So I believe it works well.

it’s definitely better to use a wash–exfoliating it can open them up and spread bacteria around. i would recommend trying toothpaste all over your chest for 15-20 minutes before the shower. my chest gets realllllly red right afterwards, but that goes away after 30 minutes, and any zits are gone the next day. if none of that works, go see the dermatologist! she’ll know what it is and what to do.

wow, I feel for you! I have that same problem…it’s really weird. I’ve tried lots of things but the acne won’t go away. And I’m not sure but I would go with acne body scrub. It sounds better-quality.

Its not uncommon. Its probably your clothes rubbing up against it causing it to get irrated or sweat or both. Try
liiv botanicals Rejuvenating Body Wash and liiv Botanicals Vitalizing Face Serum you can get them at http://www.youravon.com/dhullum use code fsany for free shipping. This helps with acne too but it isn’t too harsh. The facial acne products you’re using are probably making things worse! And don’t over scrub with the loofah if it is a rash you’re breaking them open and it will spread! Those products will help you out if it is a rash too. GL!

It’s actually more common than you think. Clinque makes a spray that’s made to rid body acne. It works great. I used to us it and so has my husband. We always have bottle laying around incase of outbreaks!

i used to have that when i was about 13 and it went away after like 2 years. but then i’d get one pimple once in a while, so i tried NEUTROGENA ADVANCED SOLUTIONS COMPLETE ACNE THERAPY SYSTEM. its about $25 at walmart or riteaid. it really works. it dries up pimples really quick and i also use it for my face.
