How can I keep my skin moisturized and …..?

Hey guys! Thanks for clicking on this =)
Anyways, to get to the point.

I have breakouts all on my forehead and it is very disturbing . I need help!!

question 1 : How do I treat my breakout and how do I prevent any further acne?

Since the breakout is enough, my skin on my face has started drying and it starts to itch but I don't want to scratch it because I might pop a zit. I used Clearasil pore cleansing pad which in my opinion I think is only alcohol on a thin pad which is a rip off to me and at first I thought it moisturized my skin but once it dries off, it seems to not do anything to my skin but make it dry even more.......which brings me to my next question.

Question 2: How do I keep my skin on my face from drying, am I using the right medication, if not, PLEASE recommend me some kind of medication ( I'm open to all suggestions) I also like home treatments so I don't I have to use up so much money.

Thanks for all your help!!!

  1. Are you using a moisturizer on your face? The Clearasil will NOT moisturize your face, it is alcohol based with salicylic acid in the pads for acne treatment. Basically they strip all the oil off your face, which you then need to replace. Use a mild oil-free lotion or gel. Your skin is very out of balance right now, which could be causing more breakouts, exactly the opposite of what you are trying to achieve.
There are several acne medications out there. Salicylic acid helps to dissolve the skin cells and prevent pimples by keeping pores clear. Benzoyl peroxide gets oxygen to your pores, which kills the bacteria that causes acne. Sulfur is antibacterial and has healing properties which helps to heal and prevent acne. Some medications work for some people, some work for others. For me, the only thing that worked was sulfur.
Anyway here’s a list of acne medications that might help you out:

Whatever you do, always remember to try the lowest concentration of medication. It will be gentler on your skin.
And here’s a list of some oil-free moisturizers you can try:

    I hope this helped!

  2. put some cream

  3. you have to put moisterizer when out of the shower and make a habbit so it will never get dry again

  4. the same exact happened 2 me. i would wash my face every day, and after a few months, it would go away. then it would come back! use proactiv. u can try it 4 free (but i think thats only through the t.v. offer) but it rly does work.

hope this helps and whatever u do, that the acne goes away! :)

  5. when i was younger (teenager) i had really bad breakouts!! and i thought drying them out was the solution. but thats not it. the more you dry out your skin the more oil it will reproduce and cause more breakouts.. apply a moisturizer for sensitive skin. i know its hard to rub a moisturizer all over your pimples because it seems like your only fueling the fire but in a few weeks you will see the difference! your skin needs a healthy balance of moisture to replenish itself. also i really like cetaphil face wash. it is mild and it wont dry you out. you can still treat the pimples if you wish but you definitly need to be using a moisturizer. i use st ives. it comes in a jar. its a couple bucks at wal mart.

  6. Don’t pop..! What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.

Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:

P.S. I also know someone who used to suffer from severe acne for 14 YEARS and finally got rid of it completely. She’s sharing her story at her site:

Maybe you could learn from her inspirational story

    Good luck.

  7. You should use cetaphil products.I had the same problem as you, but now my skin is very moisturized, but not greasy, and i no longer get acne. Hope you enjoy the product!
