How can I get rid of acne?
I have really bad acne. I know how teens are supposed to get acne but mine is really bad. My friends get minimal blackheads and single zits sometimes but they just have to put ice on them to make it go away. I get whiteheads all over my face, back, chest, and upper legs. When I first started to get acne I used a generic cleanser and moisturizer to maintain a healthy complexion. Then the acne started to come more, and more and I added an on-the-spot medication to target the zits. That didn't seem to work because they just kept coming.
So far, I have used Stridex pads, products from Mary Kay: deep cleanser, moisturizer, blemish control toner, and acne treatment medication lotion, Proactiv: renewing cleanser, revitalizing toner, repairing lotion, daily oil control, oil free moisturizer, and the revitalizing mask, and some Biore products: blemish control toner, foaming cleanser, and exfoliating soap. None of them seemed to work.
I am currently using the Biore products. They felt like they were fighting the breakouts and made my face softer but zits still come regularly all over my face. I skipped one day and had my worst breakout ever.
I recently saw an ad for an improved Proactiv. I only gave the regular proactiv a couple months and it didn't work for me. Should I try out?
I really need help. I get teased because of my problem all the time. I am trying to eat healthy and I really need to drink water more. If there is any product that you recommend for a girl who has a serious whitehead problem, please tell me! I dont get any other kinds of breakouts, just whiteheads all over my body. Also give me any advice to have healthy skin. Thank you! :(

Sounds like you have a severe case of acne. You DEFINITELY need to go to a dermatoligist. They will tell you exactly what ur skin needs. If you cant afford that (its not even expensive tho), try this-
-Wash your face every night and/or morning. Pick a cleanser that is non comodogenic (non pore clogging). Make sure it doesnt have salycic acid, it irritates and dries out ur skin. If you want you can buy a whole acne solution kit like neutrogena’s skin id or their acne solutions kit. Other brands have them too. Maybe try the new proactive I heard its good.
-Use a facial mask once or twice a week of 3/4 a cup of yougurt, 3 drops of lemon juice, a strawberry, and an egg white.
-Buy biore’s facial and nose strips. They are great for clearing blackheads and unclogging pores.
-For the acne on your body buy a shower body wash for acne.
-Always steam your face before putting any treatment (cleanser, mask, strips etc.) on your face by heating up a pot of water. When it starts boiling take it off the stove and put it on a tile or something so it wont burn ur table. Put ur face over the pot and stay their for 5-10 minutes with a towel over ur head. This will open ur pores
-Always rub an ice cube all over ur face after using any treatments so that ur pores will close up and not let any impurities in.

Acne is NOT caused by diet but water and staying hydrated will definitely help so try and drink more water. First, can your parents take you to a dermatologist for a Rx? That would be ideal. If not, I would go back to ProActiv or Murad (at beauty supplies) and STICK WITH IT. Don’t add things because adding things and over washing can irritate your skin and make it worse. I used Murad and my skin cleared up in 3 weeks. I love it! It’s made from salicylic acid… For every day skin, there are 3 things you need to do routinely for good, healthy skin: hydrate, exfoliate and protect. Each day you should cleanse your skin with something gentle. It does NOT have to be expensive. One of the best products is Cetaphil and you can get a large pump at any drug store for about $10. After cleansing your skin in the morning and night, you should apply a moisturizer with SPF. I think Neutrogena and Olay make great non-comedogenic products (they won’t clog your pores). Since you have acne, I would NOT exfoiliate at all — it can make your skin act up worse. Over-exfoliating can lead to skin irritation and break-outs and isn’t necessary for every day skin care. GOOD LUCK!!!

Don’t touch your face, never, until all the acne is gone. Clean your face everyday with warm water, a wash cloth and some not very aggressive anti-acne gel. And don’t forget to replace your towels and stuff on a regular base. Good luck, I’m having trouble with it atm, it took over my whole skin too, but I just told you the method I’m using and it works. Don’t damage them btw!!

I had basically the same problem. After I tried just about every drugstore product I could get my hands on, I went to the doctor, and he prescribed me differin. Within a month, I had perfectly clear skin!
Answer mine? (:

I’ve been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it’s at.
I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.
I’m 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.
Literally the best acne face wash I’ve ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It’s unique cause of it’s herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.
You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn’t work it will still save you butt on the return policy.
Well good luck and best wishes.
