I know you want a fast remedy for it, but with acne, you have to be patient. Go to the dermatologist. I have tried Solydyn, Retin-A, Atralin, Bactrim and etc. Nothing worked, but once I used Plexion cleanser, my face ABSOLUTELY cleared in only a week. No peeling. Best thing I’ve ever used. I used to have bad acne, like pimples under the skin that hurt. But it cleared super fast. Just a warning for the first couple of days, your skin will feel sore but keep using it! Trust me, I have tried alot of home remedies, but the KEY FOR ACNE IS TO SEE A DERMATOLGIST:)

When I was younger I used to ALWAYS have at least 5 pimples on my face at a time and I did try just about everything to make my skin clear. I had them mostly on my forehead and chin. Then one day I decided not to do anything to my face, no soap, no cleansers, nothing just plain old warm water and my face has been clear ever since. Every once in a while (once a week) I like to exfoliate my face with sugar. Just sugar no cleansers or soap and that works great, gets the oil off my face without drying it completely.

THE MAIN CAUSE OF ACNE IS BACTERIA. A FRIEND OF MINE HAD MILD CASE OF ACNE, HE USES PROACTIV, THOUGH A BIT EXPENSIVE BUT IT CLEARED HIS FACE DRAMATICALLY. I’VE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH ACNE, ONE OR TWO ONCE IN AWHILE WHEN I WAS YOUNGER. I TAKE CARE OF MYSELF SO I USE NOXZEMA TRIPLE-CLEAN (ANTI-BACTERIAL) CLEANSER INSTEAD OF REGULAR SOAP WHEN I WASH MY FACE. REMEMBER IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOUR SKIN TYPE WHEN CHOOSING A CLEANSER.

1. Use the mildest cleanser you can find (Cetaphil is great and you can get it at Walmart for about 6 bucks). Don’t worry about getting an "anti-acne" brand; medications added in the cleanser do not stay on your face long enough to help, and only cause excess irritation.
2. ALWAYS use a toner/astringent after you cleanse. It removes impurities that cause blemishes and promotes cell turn over, which gets rid of the dead skin and brings the new, healthy skin to the surface. You will need to spend a little money on the toner. It is the most important step, and a good brand is crucial. Stay away from clean and clear, oxy, clearasil, etc. They are too drying, contain harsh chemicals, and make things worse. I SWEAR by Clinique. It is a tad pricey, but so very worth it. You don’t need to buy the whole system (though it helps if you can), just the toner, it’s what does all the work. They are several formulas, and the consultants will "type" your skin at the counter and tell you what you need (or you can go to http://www.clinique.com and take their survey).
3. Always moisturize, whether you think you need to or not, with an oil-free moisturizer. Again, anti-acne medications aren’t always a good thing in a facial product. Opt for a product that doesn’t contain any, and buy a separate spot-treatment for your blemishes.
Hope this helps!

yo man don’t use Proactiv, I used it and it never worked, it only made my skin worse. It seemed to be working for the first month and then it went to hell.
i just got off it, and i am using a OXY facial cleanser and a neutrogena dirt and oil remover facial foam and it works already, i can see the reducing of the swelling tonight and i just used it this morning.
i cant tell u what to use but this is working for me.
good luck mate.
