Help with acne and blackheads?
As a teenager I had moderate acne, I tried everything under the sun from Proactiv to home remedies with no luck. Well, now that I'm older I've outgrown it (thanks also to birth control pills!) but I still have blackheads on my cheeks, nose, and chin to where my pores are obnoxiously huge. Without picking them, what can I use to get rid of them? I've tried those Biore strips, the Clean & Clear blackhead eraser thing, even a professional facial, but nothing seems get rid of the bastards. Thanks for your help!

I don’t know if it’s actually designed to get rid of blackheads but Eucerin Dermo Purifyer Scrub works a treat – my kid sister used to get blackheads all over her nose and chin but this has left her almost completely blackhead free.
As for pores, mine used to be huge and hideously noticeable. Seriously they were big enough to lose things in (we’re talking big things here; keys and even the odd sock) and I’ve discovered a few brilliant products that work wonders but unfortunately they aren’t exactly cheap…The Biotherm Biopur Pore Minimising Skincare cleanser, toner and moisturiser are fantastic and as a night cream I’d recommend Skin Doctors Gamma Hydroxy Skin Resurfacing Cream :)

I use a face mask, Mint Julep Face Mask. You can get it at Wal-Greens for about $5. But it works very well.

take a serious look at your diet, because that’s most likely the cause.
