Has anyone found an acne cleanser/treatment that you can buy from Wal-Mart that actually WORKS?

I have moderate acne. I used to use Dermalogica Skin clearing wash, rapid clear treatment pads and neutrogena anti-acne moisturizer to help clear my skin. It worked...For a couple months..... Then, it just didn't work anymore. So, I decided to switch up my skin care routine a little. I started washing twice a day instead of just once. That didn;t help...It just aggravated it. So I started using Neutrogena's Pink Grapefruit cleanser, followed by the rapid clear treatment pads and Velocity Moisturizer...Well, once again, it's not helping AT ALL! SO....DOES ANYONE KNOW OF AN ACNE CLEANSER/TREATMENT THAT YOU CAN BUY FROM WAL-MART THAT ACTUALLY WORKS AT CLEARING UP YOUR SKIN?!
YES- I WANT to go to the dermatologist! But my mom won't let me (I'm 17). I feel hopeless, cuz while she's busy telling me that my acne will go away on it;s own, I'm getting more and more scars (I think.... Idk.). And it is hereditary to some extent. My mom had it (not sure if it was as bad as mine) when she was young, but her parents let go to the Dermatologist. Rather than see it as a skin problem that CAN be cleared if we find the right treatment, she blaims it on me drinking "too much Dr Pepper"!

  1. I would stop waisting my money at Wal Mart if I was you. All of those cleaners will work for a couple of months and then your skin will just get used to it and you will need something else. Also you should be using products that are different brands because that could really aggravate your skin. What you do need is a skin care regiment not just one product but a whole regimen of all the same brand. I like to use clearskin professional from avon it has a deep pore cleanser, toner pads, and correcting lotion. This stuff works great and you even get free shipping from the site so it would be like buying it from Wal Mart but a better quality and you don’t even have to leave your home.
    Hope this helps! Happy Hunting!

  2. I had acne prone skin, and I started using a thing called Clean and Clear Acne Spot Treatment. It is in a shiny silver-metallic tube with a purple cap and purple writing on it. It worked for me.

  3. Try hydrogen perroxide. It is the active ingredient in most clensers without the added moisturizers that actually promote acne. just wet a cottonball and clense any troubled areas. It works!

  4. I don’t know about Walmart (I’ve never been and never plan to go there), but Clean & Clear’s three piece kit is a great, cheap ance treatment.

    I hope this helps!

  5. Try Pro- Active

  6. try cetaphil cleanser and moisturizer

  7. Try hydrogen perroxide

  8. Skin is smart, even people who use Proactive (or even pricier products) will find their regimen stops working after a few months.

Proven over the counter acne-causing bacteria killers include benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. These range in strengths. I use a 10% bp and 2% sa but I have very acne-prone skin that isn’t sensitive.

Remember not to touch your face throughout the day, wear makeup that’s non-comodegenic and always go to bed with a clean face.

Acne is usually hereditary and topical products are not always enough. Have you thought about seeing a dermatologist?
