Face help please: Blackheads and Acne scarring?
I have a lot of blackheads on my nose and on my cheeks right where it meets my nose. I also have alot of acne scarring on my cheeks and chin. Plus, I have oily skin but it dries out if I use a harsh cleanser. I would like to keep it from getting shiny through the day but do not want to dry out my skin.
What is a good face routine for me? Like what facewash, mosturizer, toner, and spot treatments should I use? And please, only products that I can find at cvs/walmart/target! Plus, does salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide work better to fight blackheads?
Also, do you know any facials, masks, or do it yourself treatments I can do on my face weekly to really make it glow? Or if you have any other tips, they would be much appreciated! I really want to clear my skin once and for all! Thanks for your help :)

First of all: doing too many "routines" can really harm your skin or "bug" it even more. I suffer with acne myself and, have found a really good routine!
In the morning: You wash your face with a "cotton" washcloth and make shure that it is a little steamy (not too much though!). Steam really clears out your pores and, leaves your skin feelign fresh for the day.
As for makeup: Try using Micro-Clear by Neutrogena! It is BRILLIANT! It is really nice on the skin and, is make-up and, treats acne all at once!!
And, you can add on any other make up and do your "usual makeup routine" (ie. mascara, eyeliner.. etc.)
Then, at night wash your face in the shower (steamy) or with a "steamy" wash cloth once again.
Then, dry your face and apply.. OXY! Oxy has 10% Benzoyl Peroxide and works really to help cure blackheads and, acne. You can buy it at any wal-mart, target, fred meyer etc. For only $10.00!!
You should only use it once a day though being it is very strong.
But, this will really help your skin!
Just in case you need the exact name it is in a container and stuff like this: http://www.overstockdrugstore.com/products/Oxy-Vanishing-Spot-Treatment,-Maximum-%252d-0.65-oz.html
Also, you should drink lots of water and, get all the sleep you can.
And, if you acne/blackheads occuring on your forehead maybe, try pinning up your bangs (if you have any) while you sleep. Because, over night you sweat and if your hair get’s even slightly greasy.. BANGG! You will wake up with a breakout the next morning!
One more thing.. eat lot’s of healty foods.. And, lay off of the junk food~!! :D (This is impossible for me to ACCOMPLISH!! LOLLL!! xD.)
Goodlucck! Contact me if you need anymore helpp! :D.;d. .X.

my daughter had severe acne with scarring and her dermatologist originally put her on the benzoyl peroxide. Nothing over the counter really worked for her though. she had to do accutane for 8 months and now she is getting ready for steroid injections to help her scarring. dont know how bad you have it but if you have insurance i would suggest seeing a dermatologist.

You never get rid of white/blackheads "for good". You have to get rid of them, then maintain a regimen to minimize their recurrence. You have a few options that I’ve used- Pore Strips, Blackheadmask-Before you use any method, I would recommend that you STEAM your face first. Be careful though. Get a pot, fill it half way with hot water, get it to boil. SHUT OFF the stove, and place your face above the steam. Again, be careful. You can also get a towel, soak it in hot water, and cover your face with it. Just make sure it’s not hot enough to burn your skin. Then, do whatever treatment you want to do. After the treatment/strip/mask- Rinse your face with COLD WATER, then close your pores with either 1.salicylic Acid, or 2. Benzoyl Peroxide/acne medication 3. Sulfur ( I use de la cruz 10% but it is very drying) 4. Tea Tree oil (I’m going to be trying this one soon) to kill the bacteria that causes them in the first place. Go to http://www.blackheadmask.com if you’d like to purchase the mask (20$) but shipping takes a couple of weeks. Hope this helps. Good luck!!!

use some mask, such as the body shop tea tree oil mask 2-3 times a week
