Experiences with dermatologists? Skin problems? HELP!?
Okay so I'm 13 years old and I get about 2-3 regular pimples a week and sometimes some white heads in between my eye brows or on my nose. I have pretty dark under eye circles, and medium-large pores on and around my nose. After a pimple finally goes away, it usually leaves a dark spot even if I don't pick it. I use the Clinique 3 step skin care system twice a day (cleanser, toner, moisturizer), I use an exfoliate, use masks, and acne spot treatments but nothing gives me the results I want. I think I want to make an appointment with a dermatologist, but I just want to know if you or anyone you know has any experiences with one. Is it a waste of money? Did they help you change your skin completely?
Thanks in advance for all of your answers, and 10 points will be given to the best answer. :)

Well, you could go to a dermatologist but he/she’ll prescribe you expensive stuff. When I was your age I was prescribed a cream that was over $100 and didn’t work. You’re young and going through puberty, so annoying as it is, it’s normal to have pimples. Now that I’m older, I started getting a lot more pimples, and worse, than before, so I started going to a dermatologist for acne. This dermatologist prescribed me a whole system of stuff, and it has started to work (plus a pill that has some terrible side-effects for some people). I think since you’re still young, you should maybe try to change your diet (get rid of dairy, take fish-oil supplements) and what you use on your face.
