Effective Acne Treatment?

I've always suffered from a pretty moderate acne problem, but it's never really bothered me too much. But lately I've been having worse breakouts and it's affecting all of my face. I'm using this Neutrogena cream stuff but it doesn't seem to be helping much.

Can anyone tell me how I can prevent breakouts like less soda or something like that? Also if you know of any face washes or homemade remedies that can help me, please let me know!

Thanks :)

  1. Benzoyl peroxide works well, if you use lots of it, but you would have to buy it. You also need to relax, because stress causes acne. Stop consuming milk products. Bathe every day. Stop eating junk food. Start eating fish (not tons of it, just eat fish regularly). Eat lots of greens. Don’t eat sugar or grains (avoid anything that contains gluten, just in case). The milk thing is really important… if you drink it, stop.

  2. Since I’ve began using juice plus and cut sugar out of my diet my acne went away for the most part. It’s all about what you feed your body. I also drink wheat grass

I get my juice plus from krussanojuiceplus.com

Get more veggies and fruits in your diet.

  3. drink lots of water wash your face al least two times a day .and something ive tried that was somewhat helpful is hoeny and lemon mixed and it wore it off somewhat just do what makes sense to you

  4. alot of different things work for alot of different people..my brother just got proactiv after trying so many different acne treatments, i cant even tell you how many he’d tried in the 3 or so years he’s had really bad acne..i havent noticed too much of a change but i was curious and used that spot treatment and it did a little miracle for the breakouts i’ve been having..for me, what works is just washing my face everyday with plain old soap..dial works really well for me, the stuff leftover from when my tattoo was new, but i know this isnt the case for everyone..try getting a facial mask you can put on at home and just leave on for like 15 or 20 minutes, if nothing else it should make your skin soft and reduce redness. I use an avacado and oatmeal mud mask, you can get it at walmart for a little under 4 or 5 dollars for a big tube of it..and if you live near an ocean, try this in the warmer weather..go swimming, and spend time in the sun, when i was 13 i had HORRIBLE acne, it took over my life, my family and I took a vacation down to south carolina, and after 3 days of swimming in the ocean for a few hours, and being in the sun, my acne was gone..i had maybe 3 small blemishes..no whiteheads, no blackheads, my skin was amazing and i couldent believe it..unfortunately it doesnt seem to work the same with any old salt..perhaps try buying sea salt and making a mask from it or mixing it in water and putting it on your face, then going out in the hot sun (i know it doesnt help now, but just something to keep in mind) another thing you could try is sitting in a sauna, and if you dont have one, heat up some water in the microwave for a little while (it should be a tempurature you can handle, steam can cause bad burns) then pour it into a big bowl, drape a towel over your head and hold your face over the steaming water, maybe it’ll help open up your pores, so when you wash your face you can get as much dirt and oil out as possible

  5. The following home remedies can be very useful in fighting acne scars:

-Baking Soda: you can make a paste by mixing 1 teaspoon of baking soda with 2 teaspoons of water and give your skin a microdermabrasion treatment. This way you will get rid of dead cells and get a much smoother skin.
-Cocoa Butter: cocoa butter can keep your skin hydrated and make it glow. It also has regenerative properties that can help you treat your condition.
-Apricot Juice: the juice of apricots contains a natural acid that can penetrate the cysts caused by acne and eliminate the bacteria that can lead to inflammation and scars. This makes apricot juice an excellent home remedy that is however more effective for the prevention rather than the treatment of scars.
-Apple Cider Vinegar: you can use 1 part apple cider vinegar and 2 parts water and rub this mixture into your face with a cotton ball twice per day. Apple cider vinegar contains malic acid that exfoliates the skin and helps the skin’s cells regenerate.
-Camellia Seed Oil: it is a natural moisturizer, which can plump the skin and gradually eliminate scars. Of course this effect may take up to 1 year, so it is not actually a quick fix. What is more, you need to keep in mind that camellia oil should not be used by people who suffer from acne, because it can cause breakouts. So, it would be a good idea to use this home remedy if your acne has already been cured and you just want to get rid of the scars.
-Garlic: you just need to mash up a piece of garlic and apply it on the affected areas. Leave it on for at least 20 minutes. Your scar may start fading after a week of daily use.
-Tea Tree Oil: this oil is very effective in preventing new acne scars from forming. Tea Tree oil can act as an antibiotic, because it contains bacteria-fighting substances that eliminate inflammation of the skin.

  6. You can try the natural acne treatment, and this is very cheap http://bit.ly/fP5Z4d
