Does this really help acne???

I have a controlled case of acne (blackheads, some white heads, underskin pimples) and have been using a creme from the doctor for a long time now. I was okay with my skin I was always like "eh...it's bumpy but hey I'm a teen". My skin has been this way for a long time but along with being oily under the skin i had very very dry flaky skin. Recently i started to put on a ton of lotion after every time i take a shower/wash my face. My skin has been looking so much better! Is this why? I had always though using this amount of lotion would be bad and so i only used a little bit. Was i mistaken all this time???How does using a face lotion affect your or a loved ones acne?

  1. you have to be careful with the type of face wash you use. if you use an anti-acne face wash and a creme, thats a bad combo. i highly suggest cetaphil. its very gentle on skin. lotion helps, but also your creme may have just started to work. Ive been on my creme for about 9 months and just now showing signs. i dont think lotion is the sole answer to your problems but it definitely is helping. if your skin gets too dry it starts to act up. im glad its improving! good luck!!

  2. well face lotion is good for the face thats why theres facial lotion most body lotions giv u the pimples but i honestly havnt found anything to work for ppls except for birth coontrol
which im not telling you to take lol

  3. I have found that cleaning my face every night/morning followed by a gentle lotion does wonders for my skin. Keep doing it– it sounds like it is working.
