  1. Treat acne very carefully. If you rub, scrub and otherwise irritate your skin, the mantle of your skin can become permanently DAMAGED. Acne is basically, clogged pores. Most pores are clogged during teen aged years when hormones send the message to infuse your skin (especially on your face and back) with oil. This is a protective mechanism. You are growing and the city air is full of pollution, so the oil and air will make black heads and other symptoms of clogged pores.
A gentle oatmeal wash three times daily, and drinking LOTS of water will help minimise the production of sebum, (oily substance that clogs the pores). Your body will also over react to: sugar, (drinks, candy, chocolate, etc), carbohydrates (white sugar and white flour especially), dairy products and sodium laced ‘cured’ meats. Caffeine can also be a problem. Heat will activate the sebum, so avoid direct sunlight. No detergents or astringents, just gentle washing and drinking LOTS of water, and getting at least 8 hours of restful sleep, avoiding sweet, processed, salty foods, as well as dairy products and caffeine.

  2. remove blackheads – Avene Cleanance K. Best ever product! :)

  3. You never get rid of blackheads "for good". You have to get rid of them, them maintain a regimen to minimize their recurrence. You have a few options that I’ve used- Pore Strips, Blackheadmask, and egg and toilet paper mask-Before you use any method, I would recommend that you STEAM your face first. Be careful though. Get a pot, fill it half way with hot water, get it to boil. SHUT OFF the stove, and place your face above the steam. Again, be careful. You can also get a towell, soak it in hot water, and cover your face with it. Just make sure it’s not hot enough to burn your skin. Then, do whatever treatment you want to do.
After the treatment/strip/mask- Rinse your face with COLD WATER, then close your pores with either 1.salicylic Acid, or 2. Benzoyl Peroxide/acne medication 3. Sulfur ( I use de la cruz 10% but it is very drying) 4. Tea Tree oil (I’m going to be trying this one soon) to kill the bacteria that causes them in the first place. Go to http://www.blackheadmask.com and click on tips, and you will see a tutorial for the toilet paper mask- Second video. You can also purchase the mask (20$) but shipping takes a couple of weeks, and the egg method is FREE and available to you now. Hope this helps. Good luck!!!
