Does tanning under the natural sun help prevent acne?

I was wondering if I tan under the natural sun, none of the tanning beds remedies help to restore my skin? A year ago I went to Miami and I saw tremendous results, but I am not sure if it was due to that or just my hormones. Please and thanks answer my question!

  1. I am a licensed esthetician in the State of California. Natural sun and tanning beds only dries your skin out. So, of course it prevents acne, but there are many other ways to prevent acne. "Overexposure to any UV rays can cause premature aging and loss of skin elasticity. But premature aging and cancer are harmful effects of tanning booths that do not show up for many, many years, after damage to the skin is already irreversible." (http://ezinearticles.com/?Harmful-Effects-of-Tanning-Booths&id=89785) The best thing I can tell you to do is to cleanse, tone, moisturize, and protect. (http://www.goodskin.eu/cleanse.shtml) Also, try doing the Neutrogena skin iD (http://www.skinid.com/econsumer/clearskin/eval.view). It is the cheapest and best way to clear up acne.

  2. I would say that a tan would make it look like if you had less blemishes

  3. yes tanning in beds or the sun will make your acne go away. the sun will absorb the oil on your face that gives you acne.

  4. …a tan may temporarily camouflage breakouts and discoloration caused by acne, there is no evidence that tanning clears acne. And because sebaceous glands are influenced by, among other things, heat and humidity, lying out in the sun or in a tanning booth may actually cause the skin to become oilier. More oil equals more breakouts.

    NO!
