Does coconut oil clog pores? Does it moisturize skin well?
all of the skin around my mouth is very red, dry, flaky, and irritated because I've been using an acne spot treatment on pimples near my mouth and the weather near me is beyond cold. My regular clinique moisturizer isnt helping it so i was wondering if organic coconut oil would help more? but i have very acne prone skin so do you think it would break me out? i would only put it on the spots around my mouth and just a little bit.
what do you think?
all answers are highly appreciated, but please no spam. thanks :)

Well if the spot treatment is making your mouth red and flaky, the ingredients are too harsh and you should stop using it. You have a couple of options here, you can use the clinque moisterizer as mask (apply it thickly to the dry skin and let it sit for 10-15 minutes, then massage it in lightly and wash off). You can try the coconut oil, but there is the risk that It might clog your pores. You would have to put in on for 5-10 minutes, then wash it off thoroughly (leaving it on can risk pore clogging). It’s really your call, you might want to ask a dermatologist for a special cream or regimine!

I use coconut oil, but I have the opposite of acne, I have Keratosis. Since you are on meds, ask your doctor what might help with the dry skin
