Does benzaclin gel work?

I have been using it for 2 years. I find that it works for spot treatment but since it is only applied to the spots that have already appeared I dont understand how it can be a treatment that will get rid of you GETTING acne.

Also does anyone have any tips on how to use it? I have been holding a warm water soaked towel over my face first so that it opens my pores and hopefully allows the bacteria fighting agents to get in deeper...

  1. i used that before and it isnt that effective
i suggest clindoxyl gel which you apply before bedtime
what i do is wash my face with luke warm water and some soap not too much soap and then pat my face till its dry and then apply it every night till most of spots are gone.
after most acne is gone i apply it every other night as the gets too dry when u dont have acne

  2. I used that for about a year and I agree with it just working for spot treatment because it definitely did not prevent my acne. When I first started using it it worked great but after about 6 months I would say, I started getting big red spots wherever I put the lotion. I would put it on at night after washing my face and moisturizing, and then I would sleep with it on but when I woke up and washed my face again, I had red spots all over. It wasn’t painful or bumps or anything it was just a weird reaction to the lotion. It got to the point where I had to stop using it because the red irritation started to look worse than any pimple that I would have. I learned through later experience that any topical acne medicine doesn’t react well with my face. I have found now that just using a simple face scrub has kept my face clearer then Benzyclin ever did.
