Does acne run in the family?



I've heard that some gene related cells can pass on cases of acne throughout the family. At first, I speculated it, but then put it in deep thought. I have mild acne, and so did my mom, and my mom's mom. So, does anyone know if it really does or not? What are also some things to help prevent acne?

  1. It is genetic. I have it fairly bad, and my mom had it bad too.

    And if it’s in your DNA that your gonna have acne, well, theres really no way to prevent it. But washing your face twice a day does really help. And not touching your face a lot. And picking at pimples is the worst. It just makes you break out more and it scars. Trust me, I know from experience.

  2. yes it’s genetic. always wash your face 3 times a day if your skin is oily. after waking, after lunch and before going to sleep.
