Best acne treatment for sensitive/combination skin?

Ive tried sooo many products and am at my wits end. I have oily skin, but when I wash it, it gets dry. I have moderate acne and Im looking for products that dont cause dryness, really work, and work fast. School is coming up and Im really anxious, so please help!

  1. Not lasers! Do yourself a favor and skip the option of lasers completely, I don’t wish that kind of pain on my worst enemy. Proactive is good but you’ll want to use a super effective moisturizer and it still will dry your skin out. Oxy (though I’m guessing you have already tried this) also works for some, but you’ll want to put it directly on the acne and use a strong moisturizer (such as Aquaphor) about thirty minutes after.

Some people also cause there own acne. Do you a face wash with many ingredients? Cetaphil is my best friend, but ClearBar also works will. Both are available at Walmart. Do you use a strong sungreen? Even ones that say "gentle" and "great for acne" can be awful, I recommend something from the dermatologist (mine is $14 and lasts for three months or more). And makeup in the worst, are you using something thick? It will clog your pours. Bare Minerals is wonderful and, when used with the proper sunscreen, can get oily skin in half automatically.

Do you already know most of this? The decision to take Accutane was one of the best I have ever made. The "horror" drug you hear about it really not so bad, and the side effects are cut and dry so you can know what to expect. For moderate to severe cases, it can reduce your acne down to 0% within three or four months.

I have tried everything (quite literally) and would be glad to answer any specific questions you might have. Feel free to e-mail me at furrypawedgirl@yahoo.com any time.

    Best of luck,
    Amber

  2. ok
    although im a guy
i still have faced the same problem
and my simple solution was to use juicy beauty blemish remover product bought at sephora
i apply that after i wash my face and use the sandy thing
then i apply toner, lotion and an essence to ensure that it doesnt go dry
also if you want to get rid of dryness, make sure you put suntan lotion,
if you dont want oil then get the oil free one
    good luck
and as long as you are fine with your looks, no one is going to say anything about it, even if they do, just ignore them, be confident and youll be pretty
    enjoy your life

  3. You just want something simple that you can go run to a drugstore and get, huh? I know EXACTLY how you feel becuase my skin is the same way. It’s dificult finding stuff that works but I actually use Clean and Clear right now. I used the Deep Action Cream Cleanser that has a label below it that reads Sensitive Skin, which basically means it works really well and it’s gentle on your skin. I put Clean and Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment on at night and that helps tone down the acne. Stay away from moisturizers especially in the T-zone. For moisturizing, if i have to, I just use Aveeno Daily moisturizing lotion, which has no oil in it but other good-for-your skin stuff. I won’t guarantee that you’ll be completely acne free, but itwill definitely help you. Unfortunately adolescents get hit the hardest, especially if both your parents had quite a bit of acne. Good luck!

  4. I’ve been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it’s at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I’m 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I’ve ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It’s unique cause of it’s herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn’t work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.
