back and chest acne????
ok so i have acne on my chest and back and its kinda bad. enough to be embarassed to wear lower shirts.... especially since summers coming soon with bathing suits and plus im a swimmer so its embarassing to go to practice and stuff.
lol. well ive gotten my face acne under control but i cant find anything to help my chest and back. for my face right now im using the clinique 3-step. i tried using that on my chest and back but it hasnt helped. i also tried using the clinique acne solutions body spray and that didnt help either.
so anyone know any products that could help? ive heard mixed answers about using head and shoulders shampoo to help with this kind of acne.... so anything on that?
thanks!

Back and chest acne is a lot more stubborn than facial acne, since often you produce more oil there and it’s not as easy to treat as your face is (large area to cover and hard to reach). I tried using topical agents on my back acne, and it was way too expensive for little results.
Usually in these cases, you go to a doctor and they will prescribe you an antibiotic to kill the bacteria causing the acne. This usually works much better than topic agents, but there are a couple pretty bad side-effects that go with it. First of all, you become VERY sensitive to sunlight, especially if you are white. I would come home with sunburns from school just from walking between classes for ten minutes: really. The other thing is you can’t take any vitamins or mineral supplements while you are taking the medicine, because they will stop it from working.
Also, if you find that your acne is especially bad around your period or right before, a doctor can actually prescribe you birth control to reduce the acne. Something about the hormones stops your body from producing a lot of oil and reduces acne. My girlfriend did this after the other treatments didn’t work for her, and it actually did the trick!

I have gross acne on my body also, so I’ve been using this clear orange soap in the shower from Neutrogena and it has been working pretty well.

The best thing that has worked for me is Caress Tahitian Renewal shower soap. My older sister recommended this to me and a few of my cousins and have all had great results. Also replace the loufah you are using in the shower. They can hold a lot of bacteria as well. Stay away from Dove and other heavy soaps.

you should get these pads at the store for men , but it works . they do burn very bad but it makes it go away .
or else you could always try make up . but for swimming you could just get water proof .

Get a soap bar that has sulfer……
It doesn’t have to say body as long as it is a face soap with sulfer.
you can also try going to the dermatalogist or try popping the white ones…
baking soda and lemon……. mix both of them and just like rub it .

one thing is deffidently watch what you are eating,
i tried something like this once:
i used to eat pizza every other day at school.
and i would always have huge oozing gross greasy pimples on my chest, upper back and face. and the backs of my arms.
i stopped eating pizza and began with eating less fatty stuff instead of pizza i got a sandwhich and ate fruits and vegetables more often than usual and i would also go to my local gym sit in the sauna and pop the remaining pimples,
after about 1week or so i had noticed many less pimples on my face neck chest and back. and they completely stopped on my arms.
also i was usuing one of those acne cleansing liquids or something simaliar in the shower to help cut down on them.
and it dose work believe it.

*prickly heat powder also helps to remove acne in these areas
*take 3 liters of water / day
*salicylic acid creme is very useful-twice a day
*wear cotton exclusively

chest and bacne could be kind of tricky. i think you should try stridex pads. they work pretty good and seventeen magazine recommends it for back and chest acne, if that doesnt work, try a scrub like st ives apricot scrub. and if THAT doesnt work, go to the dermatologist. :) good luck.
