  1. First of all, scrubbing isn’t going to do anything except leave you with irritated pimples and scars. Get a nice, oil free cleanser. Don’t ever use bar soap on your face, because the stuff that holds bar soap together clogs pores.

Next, get a 1-2% salicylic acid, like this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0016GOWEM?ie=UTF8&tag=squidoobeauty-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0016GOWEM Walmart has it. Salicylic acid dissolves oil inside the pores/pimples, so it will clear your face from the inside out.

If your face is really oily, use some oil blotting papers, throughout the day: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NN5HM0?ie=UTF8&tag=squidoobeauty-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B000NN5HM0

Finally, use either pure tea tree oil or a 10% benzoyl peroxide once daily in the areas where you usually get acne. If you do all 3 steps for one week and don’t notice any improvement, go to your doctor and ask for this cream called differin, and use that instead.

  2. there are products at sephora stores called murad and the work.. i have the acne conclear and it works.

  3. i know this sounds crazy, but put toothpaste on your pimples.. just a small dab, it is a miracle worker for me..

  4. If you don’t want to visit the dermatologist, I recommend using Proactiv. It will clear up your skin and help prevent future breakouts, plus they have a formula for sensitive skin if you think the original formula is too harsh.

  5. ive actually heard of toothpaste!! AND listerine! no joke

  6. How long did you use the neutrogena stuff?
It could’ve been bringing everything to the surface (your skin will get worse before it gets better-whenever you use a new product, use it for 2 weeks before tossing it and it’s not the fruit that’s causing you to break out..)
It sounds like you’re using too much!
I suggest you get a more simple cleanser, like cetaphil gentle cleanser or the original (orange) neutrogena acne wash.
I suggest you stick to a gel-like cleanser. Creamy cleansers could make your acne worse.
And I would get a wash that is for acne prevention, not black heads.
Moisturize your skin with an oil free moisturizer (just use a little. Moisturizers FEEL like they will make you break out, but really it’s replacing the oils you lost when you washed your face so you’re skin does overproduce oil to make up for it, causing you to break out more)
Then use a 10% benzoyl peroxide spot treatment ( try clearasil or zap zyt) on inflamed pimples only. Don’t rub it all over your face, on black heads or on post acne marks.
Wash your face morning and night, don’t just use a noxema wipe…i’d just cut those out of your routine completely. They’re not very good for your skin.
    Good luck!

    ADDED:
Also, don’t use a scrub more than 2-3 times a WEEK. It’s to harsh on your skin and can make your skin more red looking and/or can scrub off too much skin, making it easier for dirt and oil to get deep in your pore.

What’s worked best for me is that neutrogena grapefruit stuff at night and cetaphil gentle cleanser (or any gel cleanser that doesn’t contain salycilic acid or benzoyl peroxide) in the morning.

  7. You might just be at that age when acne is most prone to happen.
    I recenlty went to http://www.mariobadescu.com/questionnaire.aspx
filled out the questionarre and they customize a skincare regimen for you and in your email they send you an offer to try their products for free based on what you need from the answers in your skin care i got stuff like facial masks and drying creams for pimples.

  8. girl i used to have the same problem. its good that you have a consistent skin routine but you are using waaay too many acne products. all that does it irritate your existing acne which causes more acne. heres what you do..buy a cleanser that has .5 or 1% salicylic acid in it. i use neutrogena deep clean cream cleanser(which i think you will like since you use noxzema products). any more than that every day twice a day is too much for your skin. buy a moistuizer with absolutely NO acne medication in it. just purely for moisturizing your skin preferably with no fragrances or dyes. so look for ones that are labeled sensitive skin cause those usually are best anyway. also buy clean and clear advantage spot treatment gel and put that on ur pimples only at night after you cleanse and moisturize.
And only use your scrub every other day at the most after your cleanser.
And keep washing twice a day like you already do(use your hands instead of a wash cloth too, its much easier on your skin) but i wouldnt use the spot treatment in the morning cause it makes makeup look kinda icky unless you dont wear makeup then its fine.
One last thing, unless your acne is clearly ready to be popped with like a whitehead on it(gross i know lol) then dont touch your face at all. and if you do have to squeeze them use a tissue. try it girl;) worked for me.

  9. 1] buy face cleanser, toner, sunscreen, and moisturizer for YOUR skin type
2] be sure all products and makeup are NON-COMEDOGENIC [ doesn't cause zits ]
3] wash, tone, and sunscreen in AM; wash, tone, and moisturize in PM
4] ‘wash’ face with a acne pad after athletics [ this is a 'touch up' cleaner - NOT as good as cleanser for your skin type ]
5] use an apricot scrub for YOUR skin type twice a week
6] use acne cream or gel on any zits
7] avoid all fried, fast, and junk foods
8] drink 1/2 gallon of water a day
9] eat unlimited fruits and veggies
10] take a daily multivitamin with minerals
11] keep HANDS and HAIR off your face!

  10. I have found some good tips in following link, It may be good for you too
    http://www.beautifulhamesha.com/Acne.php

  11. First stop jumping from one product to the other. This might cause a reaction to your skin. And hence instead of your skin getting better, it might take longer to heal.

You are 13, hence the peak time for acne. Have you tried Proactiv? Research on the product and if you find it fit for your situation, then buy the product and stick to it and nothing else.

Also maybe it will be a good thing to look at your diet as well in terms of more water and less cola and juice and fatty and processed foods.

Please don’t worry and remember that it takes some time for the product to work as well so give it around a month or two.
