Anyway to get rid of this bad acne? Help!?

Ok, well I'm 13 and I have acne on my face, back, chest, and upper arms and it's really getting to me. I go to a cosmetologist where she takes out blackheads and ready zits but more zits just keep popping up. I use special organic cremes that she gives me and also Retin-A creme my doctor prescribed me. What I'm also worried about is that my mom has adult acne (mostly blackheads) which never went away even though she went to a cosmetologist when she was younger as well and my cosmetologist says that not all my zits are hormonal ones. I also break out more around the time of my period. Will this ever go away?

  1. 1) Drink lots of water and eat healthy foods because nice skin is happy skin.
    2) Wash your face at least 2 times a day in warm water, after washing face rinse with cold water to close pours.
    3) Try to think positive about things because that causes less stress

  2. Go to a dermatologist and ask for accutane.

  3. do not go on accutane!! there are class action lawsuits going on against them right now because they have been causing inflammatory bowel disease: crohn’s disease & ulcerative colitis!!

  4. I was in the same boat when i was 13. i would cry every day because i hated the way i looked. i am now 20 and my acne is much better but i still have pimples pop up around that time of the month. I also use biore facial scrub and it takes care of most of them

  5. If not all your zits are hormonal, as your dermatologist says, then they should go away with time and proper care. Hormonal acne and breaking out on your period is normal, but it can be reduced over time. There is no real answer or cure. But for back acne, make sure you keep your sheets, pillowcases, and clothes clean. Don’t use laundry detergent with any scents in it, try to keep it simple and clean. No dryer sheets either. Take a shower after a long day or sweating, don’t carry heavy backpacks that can rub against your back and cause irritation.
These are long term tips that may or not may a difference. If it doesn’t really make an improvement, at least you are keeping clean and can try other things. A quick fix is spending time in the sun during the summer. This helps clear skin a bit and helped my back acne SO much. It is back now from the winter, but a lot of my scars dissapeared with a tan (use sunscreen though to keep safe).
You may be dealing with acne for a while. I have been from age 13 till now, I’m 18. But as you get older it gets better and worse, and hopefully better in the long run.
    Good luck!

  6. First off NEVER SQUEEZE A PIMPLE. This is so serious because if you do you will leave deep holes on your face and permanent red marks from scarring the skin. I want to recommend you try *Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser* and *Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion* for sensitive skin. Make sure it’s exactly the ones I just mentioned because the other ones aren’t as good. You can find them in Shoppers Drugmart or Walmart infront of the Pharmacy. They are the ONLY cleanser and moisturizer that does not worsen my acne. I have struggled with moderate to severe acne since about your age. By using this it hasn’t gotten completely rid of my acne but it is wayyy more under control. Stick with the Retin-A your doctor prescribed. If that doesn’t work he will prescribe a few more things for you to try and if none of them work then he will send you to a dermatologist (a skincare doctor) who will likely prescribe you with Accutane. This is the process that you have to go through with acne. Unfortunately there is no cure that you can buy. Acne is a skin issue that doctors help you with just like any other medical issue. Oh and the other person is very right in saying that your diet affects your acne. I used to think it was a myth that eating chocolate worsens acne but I pigged out on chocolate a few times (large amount) and my whole face broke out in white heads. I now know I cannot eat chocolate! Even if I have 1 chocolate I get a whitehead, (has happened to me lots of times). I also find dairy gives me pimples such as yogurt or milk. You do need some dairy in your diet but don’t eat too much dairy! These little things together will make a big difference trust me. I know what you are going through. It is hard and it affects how you feel about yourself but you can have clear skin if you follow the advice of your doctors and try the things I’ve mentioned. Good luck and keep your head up high! Oh one more thing that I forgot-sleep. Try to get a good nights sleep everynight. I find the days that I didn’t get enough sleep I get pimples. Also drink as much water as you can. Water cleans the skin. Ok sorry this was so long I just have so much information I want you to know. Oh and I wasn’t going to mention this because your so young but you can have a talk with your mother about it and see if this is an option or not. Birth Control really helps acne. Would likely help you a lot since you break out more around your period. But whatever you do don’t go on the one called DIANE-I wen’t on that first and it made me gain 20 pounds. It is a certain birth control that helps acne but is bad for weight gain. Any other regualr birth control is fine and won’t make you gain weight like that one.

  7. I have found some good tips in following link, It may be good for you too
