Acne/Whitehead/Blackhead/Pore Problem! HELP!!?

First of all, I have lots of whiteheads and blackheads on my nose and my cheeks. My nose breaks out like crazy (ITS EMBARRASSING!) What should I do? I was thinking about clearing the acne first then using one of those nose strips to clear the whiteheads and the blackheads from my nose and cheeks. Would this stop the break outs if there are less whiteheads and blackheads? If you know any natural way i can clear my nose, please share. Also my nose is really oily so what can I do to hydrate my skin? If you have been or are in my situation, please tell me what I can do to clear my acne, whiteheads, blackheads, and hydrate my skin. Thanks in advance!

  1. Nose strips aren’t the answer. I love Neutrogena products and I have suffered from acne for most of my teenage years. I started out using their oil-free acne wash when I was like… 13? It worked wonders, then I noticed to compete with proactive they had their own three steps system (I forget exactly what it is called) I loved that stuff when I used it later on in high school. now, I am in my early twenties and my skin is a little drier. I currently use their Stress free acne wash. It smells like peppermint or something and it moisturizes a lot better than the oil free acne wash which was starting to dry out my skin. I suggest getting a moisturizer from neutrogena that is oil-free and with a sunscreen. I also LOVE origins "have a nice day" and Bare escentuals "skin rever-upper". Those last two are kind of expensive. but all in all neutrogena has worked wonders for me. I am also a fan of their body wash and grapefruit scented stuff.

  2. Ok, first of all yes, you will definitely break out much less (if at all) when you clear out your pores, and not only do you break out when your pores are clogged(blackhead/whitehead) but they actually get bigger, so you’re more likely to break out again once you do clear it up. Also, you want to be sure you wash and tone your face every day, as well as moisturize. You still want to hydrate your skin if it’s oily, but be sure the moisturizer you use in not oil-based. Also I found this recipe online that I love, it’s just 1 Tbs honey, 1 Tbs apple cider vinegar, and 4 Tbs sugar, leave it on for 10 min or until dry and use it 3-4 times a week. It works really good. Good Luck.

  3. Hi there friend. I have been battling acne since i was12 years old. I am almost 24 years old now. Over these years I have found very few things that actually help somewhat with skin problems.
    1. Exercise. The sweat pouring out from your pores is a natural way for the body to cleanse its self, but you want to be sure to shower after any sweating strenuous activity, and be sure to get a physical from your doctor to make sure your physically capable of working out.

    2. I used Proactive 2 separate times in my life, once when I was younger and once more recently. Neither times that I used it, that I got any results close to what I wanted. I used Neutregena Active Solutions 3 set acne clearing combination, and saw some pretty good results. But I am not saying to knock Proactive out completely, about 80% of people that tried to use it are clear skin to this day, it just didn’t work for me.

    3. Another thing that helps, make sure you wash your pillow case and your bed sheets at least once weekly. All the dead skin cells from when you sleep fall off on your bed, and for some people can actually be the cause of their skin problems.

    4. Wear a Long sleeve shirt or sweater to bed. Most people end up with their hands or arm under their face at night. The skin to skin contact can pick up a lot of oils and dirt that will be forced to be trapped in your pores.

    5. Try to stay in a good mood. Some people say depression and anxiety can be the cause of stress related acne. So see a dermatologist or a doctor to see if you have any physical or mental problems that may need looking into to help better solve any skin problems.

  4. heyy!!! yes i do think u should clear the breakouts before putting on a nose strip, it will help get deeper into the pores. If u r looking for natural ways to do this i only know a few….one is aspirin, it contains salicylic acid. another is lemon juice, this helps with the actual pimples and scaring if u have any of that. and last is potato, ya may sound weird but sometimes it actually works….i want to let u know that all of this may not work on everone but its worth a try.

also i like to use the murad spor treatment, it contains 3% sulfur not sure of the price cuz i got it in a kit im thinking kind of expensive….srry but if u find anything with that ingrediant u should give it a shot ….hope i helped!!!

  5. You never get rid of white/blackheads "for good". You have to get rid of them, then maintain a regimen to minimize their recurrence. You have a few options that I’ve used- Pore Strips, Blackheadmask-Before you use any method, I would recommend that you STEAM your face first. Be careful though. Get a pot, fill it half way with hot water, get it to boil. SHUT OFF the stove, and place your face above the steam. Again, be careful. You can also get a towel, soak it in hot water, and cover your face with it. Just make sure it’s not hot enough to burn your skin. Then, do whatever treatment you want to do. After the treatment/strip/mask- Rinse your face with COLD WATER, then close your pores with either 1.salicylic Acid, or 2. Benzoyl Peroxide/acne medication 3. Sulfur ( I use de la cruz 10% but it is very drying) 4. Tea Tree oil (I’m going to be trying this one soon) to kill the bacteria that causes them in the first place. Go to http://www.blackheadmask.com if you’d like to purchase the mask (20$) but shipping takes a couple of weeks. Hope this helps. Good luck!!!
