Acne marks/scars question?

I'm 15 and I think I have acne scars on my cheeks. I haven't picked the spots but it's been months and they haven't budged! My skin is smooth when I touch it; but there's red spots on my skin. I'm on acne tablets and a spot treatment given to me by my doctor and I guess it helps prevent more spots but these ones won't go away! Any home remedies or things I can do to get rid of these marks?

  1. Ask your doctor about Bio-oil
It has been used in the past to reduce the appearance of Acne scars, Stretch marks and other marks on the skin

But at 15, , since you are still getting more acne, you might be asked to wait a few years.
But I could be wrong – so just Ask

  2. Ask ur doctor about a medication named Roacatone. Its like a 6 months course. I’ve heard it also heals previous scars. I’m actually in the same boat as u:-P

  3. After acne has healed, red or hyperpigmented marks may be left behind on the skin. These are not really scars, but changes that occur after inflammation. The redness or hyperpigmentation develops because of the healing and remodeling process that the skin undergoes. This process may continue for about 6-12 months. If further acne lesions do not develop in the area, the skin heals normally. If the hyperpigmentation or skin defect is still present after one year, it is said to be a permanent defect or scar.

When treating early acne scars it is important to avoid excessive exposure to the sun as this causes additional skin damage and also delays the healing process. As such wearing a good sunscreen lotion is essential. One must also avoid picking at the scabs. Scabs form in order to protect the healing process that is taking place inside, and hence pulling a scab before it is ready may prolong the healing period and make the scars visible for a longer time. Drinking plenty of water is a simple and effective remedy to flush out the toxins in the body and keep the skin hydrated. Tannin that is present in tea is a soothing agent and helps in healing as it absorbs ultra-violet light. As such drinking herbal green tea is beneficial. Avoid junk food, oily food and foods rich in cream and sweets.

Make a paste of fresh, young curry leaves apply and keep on overnight. Wash with warm water in the morning.

    Hope those information help.
