Acne help – redness after popping pimples – PLEASE help…?

Hey, so I've just recently had a breakout of acne on my chin area and against my better judgement decided to pop these pimples...

So, after I popped them, there are these dark reddish areas where I pushed on these pimples and the redness isn't going away. I'm guessing it's broken blood vessels or something like that. So basically I'm wondering if there is a good way to get these sores / blisters / acne to go away.

I've been breaking open some vitamin E capsules ang using the gel from inside them... I dunno if that's a good idea or not... and I also tried honey... does that work?

And then there are these kinda large reddish bumps which I assume are newly forming pimples under my skin... uhhhhh... is there anyway to make these go away faster? or dissapear before they actually become pimples? I know trying to pop this type is a REALLY bad idea..

I guess I'm just really helpless right now and need some good advice. I have the weekend to get these issues dealt with and I don't want to go to school looking like a freak : (

So is there something I can use from home (not something I have to order and wait to arrive by mail) to make my face look normal again? Not looking for acne treatment products and stuff like that... PLEASE help me out here if you have any advice or something that has worked for you.

  1. To reduce redness, crushed aspirin+water mixed into a paste is an easy DIY. Right now I’m using Clearasil exfoliating scrub. My face has been completely clear ever since I started using it (maybe 8 months ago?) except for an occasional pimple. For spot treatment I use a mild benzoyl peroxide cream, and it really helps dry up zits. If you use it, always ALWAYS use a tinted moisturizer with SPF, it helps cover the redness without looking like makeup and keeps your face hydrated. Drink lots of water! DON’T use atringents or toners over popped zits. 1st off, it stings. 2nd, my mom says the alcohol can cause scarring but I’m not sure if that’s true, but I’d avoid it anyway. And last, just don’t pop them. I know it’s tempting if they don’t clear fast enough but trust me they bleed and can get infected and ewww I’d just rather not deal with that.

  2. For the acne that is forming try putting a dab of toothpaste on them over night, but only on the ones that haven’t been formed yet, that will help dry them out and take the redness away.

For the ones you have already popped, try icing them, but they’ll probably be there awhile:(

  3. Never pop pimples. The redness is more than likely irritation you caused your skin from popping your zits. Plus when you pop them, not only do you make open sores on your face and risk causing yourself scars, but the infected fluid inside gets onto your skin and enters your other pores making more pimples. The best bet is to leave them alone except for washing your face or applying an acne medication. If you leave them alone the redness for the most part will go away, although some pimples tend to have the redness around them due to the inflammation they cause your skin. Pimples are clogged pores that become infected. Leave them alone and let them clear up.
